Update On Kerr Family

Greetings to all in the name of the Lord!

It has been a very busy time for South Middleburg Baptist as we continue to (prayerfully) follow in the footsteps of our Lord. I would have us to be busy because as my dear Grandmother used to say, ” An idle mind is the playground of the devil!”

Brother Tony Bradley, the teens and myself will be traveling to Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville this Friday evening, April 20th, 2012, for our “Teen Challenge Banquet.” I want to personally thank everyone who has helped this past year in making these teen challenge meetings possible. Brother Tony and his family have been a real blessing. I also want to thank our teens for their exemplary conduct during this past year. I remind all of the parents, grandparents and church family of the awesome responsibility we have been given in teaching and nurturing these youngsters as they learn and grow.

By now most of our church family has learned of the tragic death of Dave Peeples. Dave was the son-in-law of Glenda and Lloyd Kerr. The funeral arrangements are as follows: Viewing for friends of the family will be from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th, 2012, at Russell Baptist Church, 2299 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, Florida. The service will follow at 2 p.m. on the same day and date. There will not be a graveside service. Please join me in praying for Lloyd and Glenda and all of the family members that have been affected by this tragedy.

It doesn’t seem appropriate to take such a small space on this page to offer such huge appreciation and love for our church family.  Just know that you all are such a blessing to Sybil and me, and we thank God for you for all that you do and what you mean to our lives.

God Bless! Have a wonderful week and always remember, “A holy clumsiness is better than a sinful eloquence.”

Bro. Delton
