Greetings!
If you were to look up the word “homecoming” in your dictionary you may find something like this: “The return of a group of people usually on a special occasion to a place formerly frequented or regarded as home.” I am praying that you will come and worship even if you don’t have a church home because you may find one here!
We have had the privilege and opportunity to minister to so many people over the years and would love to make contact with some of you have “moved on!” Along with all of you, I am extending a personal invitation to everyone in our community to come and worship with us on Sunday, May 20th, 2012 for our annual homecoming at South Middleburg Baptist Church. Our service times are as follows: Sunday School 9:30 am and Worship Service at 10:45 am.
We will have Bro. Everett Lancey challenging us with God’s Word and special singing by Bro. Richard Henderson. Afterwards we will have homecoming dinner in our annex next to the main building. Ladies (and gentlemen) I am going to ask you to amaze us one more time with your fine culinary expertise. As always the church will provide the drinks, ice and fried chicken (we are Baptist!).
Due the amount of time it takes for many to clean up afterwards, we will not have a PM service on Sunday, May 20th. After we celebrate homecoming with the family of God I want you to have plenty of time to celebrate with your own family members.
Look forward to seeing you then and keep looking up, because He is still on the throne.
God Bless!
Bro. Delton
Looking forward to it! – Donnie & Dominie
