I take pen in hand (figure of speech of course) to thank everyone who has been praying for Sybil and me and our entire family. Do you remember the old expression, “When it rains, it pours?” Well, we have had a rash of sickness and surgeries in our family of late but praise be to God, we have come through it all! Gracen (granddaughter) is doing just fine after her knee surgery and is expected to be back on the volleyball court in about six weeks!
I would like to call on our church family to be much in prayer for our youngsters who will be singing in their first “Children’s Choir” on Sunday, April 1st, 2012, during our AM service. Remember how nervous you used to get (and maybe still do!) when you had to speak or perform a group of people? Well, these young people will have to battle those emotions as well as remember thier cues in the music and perform at optimum level. I would also ask you to pray for Sis. Dominie and Sis. Cheryl as they lead our children (it wouldn’t hurt to tell them “Thank You” as well!).
Remember, next Friday, March 30th, 2012, @ 7:30PM, South Middleburg Baptist Church will be hosting the “Teen Rally.” I always look forward to being around these young people because their enthusiasm is so contagious. To our church family and visitors alike, if you are would like to come and witness the power of God in young lives I extend to you my personal invitation. Come and be blessed!
