Great News!!!

Thursday, 02-23-2012 @ 11:20 a.m.

God blesses us in so many ways every day of our lives. Today is no exception to that rule! I just got off the phone with Brother Calvin Childers, and he and Sister Sue will be with us for the morning service (o2-26-2012). Brother Calvin has graciously consented to preach for us Sunday morning, and this will be an excellent opportunity for our older members to reacquaint themselves with the Childers’ and give our newer members the opportunity to meet this Godly couple. I am looking forward to hearing what God will say through Bro. Childers.

Don’t forget our workday Saturday (02-25-2012) as we prepare the sanctuary and grounds for the revival next week. Please continue to pray that God will bless our efforts and we will see many Christians come back to a closer walk with God and see many sinners saved.
Should you desire to look up the word revival in Webster’s dictionary you may find a definition similar to this one: “renewed attention to or interest in something c (1) : a period of renewed religious interest  (2) : an often highly emotional evangelistic meeting or series of meetings 2 : restoration of force, validity, or effect.”

It is my sincere desire that every one of us go into this revival with the words that the Apostle Paul spoke to young Timothy on our hearts. In II Timothy 1:6-8 Paul told Timothy: “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.   7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;”

Remember Christian, you are God’s child and your destiny is sealed in Him. Let’s fellowship together and show God just how much we care!
