Come And Get It!

Greetings,

I want to extend a personal invitation to all of the men of South Middleburg Baptist Church to attend a breakfast on Saturday morning, June 1st, 2013, @ 8 am. The ladies of the church have graciously consented to prepare breakfast for us and I feel a personal obligation to make sure their efforts are not in vain! Seriously, please come and bring friends, neighbors and relatives to so they may experience the SMBC fellowship difference. There will be plenty of food!

I would also like to extend a personal invitation to all of the ladies (with friends, family) to attend a “movie night” just for you. This will also be on Saturday, June 1st (don’t worry men, you’ll be in hibernation after eating anyway!). My wife will be hosting this evening of fellowship and the movie “October Baby” will be shown. The movie will be over in the fellowship building and will begin at 6pm.

Don’t forget we have homecoming on June 9th. In view of that we will set aside a “work day” for Saturday, June 8th, 2013, @ 7am. We are beginning early to avoid the heat of the day. Lunch will be provided. We will need as many people present as possible as we want to make sure the grounds and buildings are in excellent shape for our important homecoming day.

Many of our members have shown a big interest in a class to “teach the teacher.” We will have our first class on Saturday, June 15th, 2013, @ 9am. I hope that we can complete the course I have prepared in two three-hour sessions. However, it wouldn’t bother me at all if we had to go longer learning from each other! Handouts will be available and I am absolutely thrilled at the enthusiasm expressed by current teachers and those of you have expressed interest in teaching at a later date. May God bless you for your fidelity to HIS calling in your life.

I extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to all of you for the privilege I have to pastor in this wonderful church and for loving Sybil and me even when I have a bad hair day (which happens to be everyday according to my wife!). Stay faithful to our God and always remember you are in my prayers.

Bro. Delton
